In each hour-long episode, host Ainsley will cook his own pick of the crop before being joined by two different celebrity chefs in his outdoor kitchen. Each chef will be challenged with cooking a dish inspired by their beautiful garden surroundings and including ingredients plucked straight from the grounds before joining forces with Ainsley in a final friendly dessert challenge.

Having Edit Produced the pilot I moved on as Lead / Senior Edit Producer to shape the 1st Episode. Taking on board lessons learnt in between the pilot and main filming and working the format into a fresh, bright new series that would stand out from other competitive cookery formats.
The first episode tested all the possible variations in tone, style and pace for each of the three rounds as well as the reality filming and use of the judges and host. Following numerous viewing with commissioning execs and the in house senior team, this set the format for the other edit producing teams to follow. I then moved on to edit produce the quarter finals.

Editing the format test "Pilot" episode for the new Mary Berry BBC Cookery Competition Series (8x60min) to air 2018. The aim was to run a full pilot episode that, once edited, would allow the executives / senior team to develop the style, tone and pace for the main three cookery challenge rounds, review and revise host and judge interaction across the episode as well as test the contributor interview beats and reality filming elements. The pilot and it's findings were then used as a guide for the studio production team.

Culinary Genius, a new ITV daytime cookery competition format created by Gordon Ramsay’s new production company Studio Ramsay.
Senior Edit Producer overseeing post producton, responsible for leading the edit producing team in shaping the visual style, pace and narrative structure.
Each hour-long episode will see nine amateur cooks head into a wrestling ring-style studio to do culinary battle. Hosted by Fern Britton, a different high profile professional chef will preside over the kitchen each week, demonstrating with expertise two of the tasks for the competitors as well as the audience at home.
Launched by Gordon Ramsay himself, guest chefs Rosemary Shrager, Jean-Christophe Novelli and Phil Vickery will follow, bringing their own unique style to the high-intensity kitchen.

Each course blended theoretical and situational learning covering a broad range of topics including Team Roles & Responsibilities; Key Producer Skills, Qualities and Competencies; Anatomy of a TV Programme; Designing a Production Process; Format / Idea Generation and Development; Leadership Styles and Skills, Setting Objectives, Giving Feedback and Managing Poor Performance; Working With Children – Guidelines, Policies and Safeguarding Trust; Leading and Developing a Creative Team; TV Production from Initial Pitch to Final Delivery.
As well as classroom learning the students were set online coursework designed around a real world location based production devised to utilise their learning in order to complete key production documents including Shooting Scripts, Timed Running Orders, detailed Recording Schedules and Risk Assessments.

'The Flying Saucer / Al Tabaq Al Ta'er' was a new ‘healthy eating’ factual entertainment series blending sci-fi, cookery, comedy and drama, created to educate and entertain the audience and help to combat the growing obesity problem amongst children in the Middle East. Scripted in English and shot in Classical Arabic, the series was filmed both on location and in studios based in Doha, Qatar.
I was responsible for directing and mentoring inexperienced cast / contributors and adapting scenes to fit their abilities, creating daily recording schedules to maximise the use of studio and child contributor availability, supervising the production team, food stylist, design team, Arabic studio producer, multi-camera director and on-screen talent during rehearsals and recording to ensure that the script translations worked in a foreign language and that all the key science / factual content was delivered on screen.
Following filming I took on the role of Series Edit Producer, managing multiple edit suites and reviewing all edits from rough cut to fine cut, overseeing on-line, dub and picture grading and signing off all episodes for final delivery.

Location Producer Director of a special one-off music entertainment observational documentary filmed in Paris, following Boyzone during the last leg of their 1998 promotional tour. An exceptionally fast turnaround production, the documentary was commissioned as a spin off from ‘Live & Kicking’ and focussed on the group as they looked back at the highs / lows of their career and their feelings about their most successful year to date.
Following filming I edit produced the 30min documentary ready for its broadcast on New Years Day 1999. The programme was watched by over 4 million viewers and was the largest audience that the ‘Live & Kicking’ brand had ever reached.

Joining the BBC in 1996 via the prestigious BBC Trainee Assistant Producer Scheme, I was trained to the highest level in all aspects of television production including budgeting, legal / editorial compliance, production safety and risk assessment, research, script-writing and format development as well as practical training in editing (linear and non-linear), camera operation (self-shooting), PSC directing, multi-camera studio directing as well as extensive producer training in leadership and project management.
During my two years on the Trainee Assistant Producer Scheme I worked on a variety of studio and location based productions across a wide range of departments including Youth & Entertainment, Science & Features, Comedy Entertainment, Documentaries, Music Entertainment and Children’s, building up a strong track record as an Assistant Producer, Location Producer/Director (Self Shooting and PSC) and Edit Producer helping to lead the creative direction of both new and returning series, develop ongoing strands and produce fresh, engaging content for respected flagship brands and a wide range of audiences.
At the end of the Trainee Assistant Producer Scheme I was offered a staff contract with BBC Children’s where I worked as a Location Producer/Director, Multi-Camera Studio Director, Studio Producer and Series/Senior Producer until September 2008.
